I see that the 7.4 beta version is RSS enabled.

Will this make the image pages PicLens compliant or would I need to code externally?

Yes it works with Piclens as long as you have the plugin installed. Select the "Add RSS feed" checkboxin the Advanced Index Page Options window and you're done. Piclens is a browser plugin that allows you to fly through your gallery in a 3D way. To test it go to http://www.piclens.com and install the latest piclens plugin. You need the 1.6 version if you want the 3D wall to work. Here is a test gallery of my friend Lars with RSS support:

Jan,

Is there anyway to get PicLens to display image titles? The RSS.xml file has data in the <title> and <description> fields, but nothing displays. Perhaps I should be asking this in a PicLens forum, but I haven't been able to find one.

Also, I note that the image navigation buttons all turn into launch-PicLens buttons, so they aren't usable. This doesn't occur on the index navigation buttons. Here's a link to a gallery: http://www.geoffschultz.org/2006_Sailing/Bahamas/Abacos_Green_Turtle/

Hi Jeff,

I already emailed them about the navigation button issue a week ago, but haven't heard anything back. My guess is that it only works well with thumbnail index pages and not with image pages. Currently Arles adds the RSS link to both the index and image pages. I could add an option leave out the RSS link on image pages. That way the piclens icons will only appear on the index pages. I rather have them fix the issue though.

Same for titles. They could add it if they want, but as you say there is no forum.

I just had a thought. It is quite easy by adding the titles to the thumbnails and images itself. That way they will show up in piclens too.

Here's the updated Lars gallery with titles (well.. one title for all of them, as I was to lazy to name them all):

That works, but I really didn't want to imprint the images with titles.

I can understand that and agree that it is a clumsy work-around, but I mentioned it for those who really want titles with Piclens..
