 Little bug with special symbols
Hi, Jan... in last beta (and some before) special symbols like (") and (') -as far as I remember...- are not show right; It´s a minor bug as when gallery is created are show right.
Just to say...

Similar, but not the same...
It happens when copy&paste the text and it has " (mostly) inside
Thanks!

Has someone else continue detecting this bug in last beta?
I obtain (for example):
"Presentación del espacio en Barcelona" where it should be "BCN30JUN2010.- Presentación del espacio en Barcelona"
And when I review the IPTC field with ACDsee it´s shown right (Presentación) (I see it wrong when I see it on Arles)

Where in Arles is it showing wrong?
I entered the text "Presentación del espacio en Barcelona" and it showed up fine in the Title 1 area, in the Arles IPTC viewer and in the generated gallery.

Yes... when it´s wrote directly on Arles it works fine... the problem is when it´s read from ACDsee (what I use to manage the IPTC info as it´s more flexible than Arles is in bulk data input) Perhaps there´s a compatibility problem between them as, for example, changes we make with Arles in IPTC fields are not mirrored on ACDsee

Can you email me an image with IPTC data created with ACDSee that shows the problem?
You can send it to info@digitaldutch.com.

Thanks for the images. The IPTC information the picture is in Unicode. The current Arles version does not yet support unicode. It is ASCII only.
The next Arles 8.5 version that I am currently working on will fully support Unicode. As soon as that version is out you should try again.
