Makes you wonder why they put them in the water. I would assume that it cannot be good for the statues. 65 meters is quite a lot. I just got back from the Maldives and where the visibility is more like 20 meters, but then again there's plenty of zooplankton and gazillions of fish species feeding from it.

The statues underwater are man-made similar to the 3 on my website which I list as "Tourist Moai". (IMG_3812) (14th row on Index Page).

OK so they are newly made statues. For a moment I thought someone had thrown a thousand year old statue in the water. Silly me.

Yes, the newly made ones are to show the tourists what they would have looked like before they aged all those years....
Attached is the link to the rest of my Chile adventure. I was in Santiago for a couple of days and also went down to the Red Wine region of Santa Cruz.

Really great website.
I have to admit that I have never tried importing Arles galleries into
a website, nor would I even know how to go about doing this.
I use the simple "create" gallery, and that's about it. I use Dreamweaver
several times a week for web work but would not even know how to go about
getting an Arles gallery into a website.
Jan, one day you should give a tutorial on how to use Arles in DreamWeaver...
nothing elaborate, but perhaps just enough to have some of us play with it.
I am pretty impressed with the galleries I saw on this website, they
integrate so well, you would not even know they were separate entities.

Beerlover,
I can tell you that I am a complete amateur when it comes to web design. I think that a tutorial or at least instructions are in Arles Help section as I was able to learn it from scratch. It really is just adding one command line in the main section of your webpage. The tricky part is dealing with relative and absolute links especially when trying to copy a template from one directory to the next. I am at work now so don't have the exact command but can post later.
In the next day or two, I will also post my Zanzibar and Pemba photos, so check those out when you get a chance.

Jan, (or any of you scuba divers out there)
Below is my final set from Tanzania. Diving pictures from Pemba. (Pemba is a small island just north of Zanzibar.)
The water was not that clear (25ft visibility) so I focused on my Macro photography.

Note: I won't be traveling for awhile as I am currently involved in building the New World of Coca-Cola Museum in Atlanta. The museum opens in May 2007. You are all welcome to come to the museum when it opens. It is highly interactive and there is a special suprise at the end of the visit for everyone.

It has been a long time since I have posted to this site but want to let everyone know I have updated my website with my trip to St. Lucia in 2007. The Pitons were really beautiful and the diving was fantastic!
Here is the link: http://www.globalhopkins.com/trips/stlucia/stlucia.htm
The number of countries I have visited is now 92.
I continue to love this photo publishing program.
